Whether Theresa Caputo is “the real thing” or not, it’s always been an entertaining show to me. But the first new episode that aired had Rosie O’Donnell in it. Apparently it first aired in January, 2017, but I didn’t see it until a couple of days ago. Both Theresa and Rosie are from Long Island, New York. As I was watching, looking at Rosie’s face, she seemed to have a chip on her shoulder even there, as it was unfolding about her father which Theresa was channeling. It is well known about Rosie’s father, not a secret she has kept. It is sad when a child loses a parent due to him just up and leaving the family. It is also sad when a child loses her mom at an early age due to a medical issue such as cancer. But that doesn’t excuse one’s brash demeanor directed at people.
While on the View she has been known to fight with co-hosts like Whoopie Goldberg and Rosie Perez. During one segment she and Whoopie got into it big time. O’Donnell wanted to talk about Bill Cosby’s ongoing lawsuit for bad sexual behavior, and racially charged upheaval of Ferguson, MO. Whoopie wanted to steer clear of both subjects. It is stated by the New York Daily News that Rosie ODonnell was yelling at everyone, even her producers.
It is one thing to not get along with people’s views on subjects that are important to you, and another to cut them out of your life entirely, especially a family member.
Rosie has a daughter named Chelsea, whom she adopted when she was a couple of months old. Chelsea has been in the news for running away from home. She does not hide how she feels about her adoptive mother. All children at some point don’t like what a parent has decided, “is in their best interest.” She apparently was sent to a therapeutic boarding school in Utah when she was 13. Missing her siblings and being so far away was hard on her and she didn’t want to go back to another facility in Texas, far away from home, even though her biological mom (Kelli Carpenter) and adoptive mom wanted her to.

I don’t think Rosie was thinking at all when she sent the text. Like with many of her altercations with other celebrities and our own President Trump she just does not think. She’s like an attack dog with a dire need to keep attacking until there’s blood. She wasn’t thinking of how that would hurt her daughter, just like she herself was hurt when she didn’t have a father in her life anymore. My thoughts on adopting a child is a lifetime commitment, just as if you were the biological parent.
I hope since the incident between Rosie and her daughter, that they have mended fences. That both together can get through what caused it. I guess maybe Rosie is practicing “tough love” on her daughter, I don’t know 🤷♀️
Why Rosie feels our President Trump is such a bad person, I will never understand. But, the attack dog should settle down, calm down, life still goes on. Life still went on when Barrack Obama was President, even though I didn’t vote for him. My advise to Rosie is that life really is to short for such upset that she is actually causing in her own life, it’s really not worth it, try to go with the flow once in awhile. Stand back and look at the bigger picture and above all, never stop asking God for help when it gets to much to handle. That’s what I do, and wow, it helps, it really does.
