Ivanka Trump’s true colors are beginning to show. She has privately fought with her father on many issues of his presidency, saying “where I disagree with my father, he knows it.” The policy she and her father were in most disagreement was preserving federal funding in “Planned ParentHood.”
She on occasion didn’t speak out on Trump’s campaigning policies. Many individuals took this as a message she was not supporting him in certain campaign issues when he was campaigning.
According to Politico, she chose to meet with many Trump haters early on. She and her husband Jared Kushner flew to Aspen, attending “Weekend with Charlie Rose,” an off the record gathering in which 90% of the invitees were Trump haters. Was she in agreeance with the liberals here? Or was she trying to bridge, smooth over differences? We will never know as this event was publicized as a family vacation.
Back in December of 2016, Ivanka summoned Al Gore to Trump tower. There was a discussion on “climate change.” President Trump early on had made his views on the subject known in several tweets:
“The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 6, 2012
“The weather has been so cold for so long that the global warming HOAXSTERS were forced to change the name to climate change to keep $ flow!”
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 29, 2014
After the meeting Al Gore was questioned by the press, he stated “I had a lengthy and very productive session with the president-elect,” “I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued.” “And I’m just going to leave it at that.” So, we can assume that Trump was still not onboard with the liberals view on climate change.
It was another matter when Al Gore spoke to Ivanka about climate change. We know this because of what he stated on MSNBC: “It’s no secret that Ivanka Trump is very committed to having a climate policy that makes sense for our country and for our world, and that was certainly evident in the conversation that I had with her.” So, this statement from Al Gore shows a different stance that Ivanka has from her fathers. She also never let it be known how she felt about climate change during Trump’s campaign, as she never publically acknowledged nor refuted her own stance.
Now we can see that she has her own views on climate change. According to newsmax, Politico’s Annie Karni cites a source close to Ivanka as saying she “wants to make climate change — which her father has called a hoax perpetuated by the Chinese — one of her signature issues.”
As reported by AXIOS, Ivanka is to meet with the Scott Pruitt, head of EPA at the White House before the crucial Paris Climate Meeting. This meeting will most likely be the deal breaker on whether President Trump will leave the agreement or go along with it. She wants to make sure the President hears all the facts before making his decision.
Climate change is not based on factual science, period. It is based on “reproducibility,” which is outside the principals of the “scientific methods,” as evidenced here by Chairman of the House Science Committee, Lamar Smith in an excerpt from sciencemag.org:
“Next week we’re going to have a hearing on our favorite subject of climate change and also on the scientific method, which has been repeatedly ignored by the so-called self-professed climate scientists,” Smith told the Heartland Institute’s 12th annual conference on climate change in Washington, D.C. The audience cheered loudly as Smith read the names of three witnesses—climate scientist Judith Curry, who recently retired from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta; policy specialist Roger Pielke, Jr. of the University of Colorado in Boulder; and John Christy, a professor of earth system science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville—he expects to support his view that climate change is a politically driven fabrication and that taking steps to mitigate its impact will harm the U.S. economy.
Smith upon speaking at the climate doubters conference also made a distinction on whether the belief that the evolvement of climate change was actually not “climate science,” but in fact was actually “climate studies.” Read more here
It is self evident that Ivanka thinks her father does not have all the facts on climate change. This is disturbing to me. He often reads, calls and summons of his own accord, without direction from an advisor. He is very capable of making his own judgements without his valuable time being taken from another liberal thinker who wants to pressure him into their own beliefs. Who’s President here anyway?
