So What If President Trump Talked About Classified Information With Russia!

May 16, 2017

Not many people are aware that the President has the ability to declassify information that was previously classified. He has a very broad power which is left to his discretion.

It was never an issue before in previous administrations. But, all of a sudden the Mainstream Media and Democrats are all over it under this new administration. Are they trying to make President Trump look like an incompetent idiot? In my opinion that is exactly what they are doing. They need to start reporting on more interesting subjects, less gossip and align themselves with the good that our President is doing on a daily basis. I mean daily! He even works on weekends, tirelessly I might add. Give him some credit.

The law that supports the President in declassifying information is supported by “dicta in Department of Navy vs Egan, 484 US 518 (1988), and is consistent with historical fact that classification, declassification have been made by the President.”

When our President is trying to work with another nation, bringing about collaborating efforts. It is necessary to declassify some of the classified material.

During President Bush’s administration when we were trying to de-escalate Iraq’s position on obtaining weapons of mass destruction, there were classified materials that had to be declassified.

Congress does have the power to limit declassification of materials. But, the President may counter on constitutional grounds.

Declassification may also come about with public interest, such as aliens, do they exist? It is up to him whether or not to let the American people know that it’s not just another conspiracy theory.

According to circa.com, earlier in the month Senator Rand Paul wanted the President to declassify information in reference to how often governmental officials have searched NSA intercepts for intelligence on members of Congress, Presidential candidates, journalists, clergy, federal judges and doctors. This is all at the President’s discretion.

The request from the Senator was done to try and find out who was being spied on during the Obama Administration. Obama conducted 35,000 searches on NSA intercepts seeking information on Americans. This is a big deal here folks. Unless the President declassifies the material, we would never know the extent of spying Obama carried out…Remember Trump’s own aides were unmasked.

The bad guy here is not Trump, it’s Obama! In 2011 Obama made it easier to access information on Americans by creating keys for intelligence professionals and even his own political aides to unlock this information and spy on Americans!!!

So, let’s stay calm, don’t overreact, we voted President Trump into office, let him do his job!
